Aikido Demonstration: Lia Suzuki in Kamakura, Japan. 2019

Every year I travel to Japan to train and give a demonstration when Doshu or Dojo-Cho visit our Dojo in Kamakura, Japan.

I usually take some students with me. In this video, you'll see a white belt as one of my uke. He was 16 years old at the time and it was his first trip to Japan. It was no doubt a life-changing experience for him.

The event is usually attended by 100 or more people. Until a couple years ago, the Doshu used to attend every year to lead the final class and give a demonstration. Starting around 2018 or 2019, Dojo-Cho came in his stead.

Classes are given by one or more AKI sempai, Takeda Shihan, and of course Dojo-cho.
