Martial Arts Teacher Training: Make Your Classes Experiential to keep your students motivated

Have you ever had a student who seemed to need clear instructions for every technique, so they never developed to the point of being able to make unique adjustments on their own to each unique moment or situation?

There are so many people who prefer or even seem to NEED to learn by verbal instruction. But the problem is that if you “spoon feed” them instructions too much and for too long, they’ll never become comfortable with the concept of searching for unique solutions to unique challenges. Their Aikido progress and their confidence will plateau and their training will never be as rewarding as it could be if they became more independent.

In today’s video, I’m going to talk about one of the 4 Pillars of my Teaching Philosophy. And that is to make your classes experiential and how to ease “verbal learners” into this concept.
