Aikido & Martial Arts: Proper Turning to Eliminate Joint Pain

Do you ever experience lower back pain after training? Or knee or ankle pain? Or you don’t feel stable and grounded when you’re executing certain techniques?

Of course there are many possible reasons for this but one possible reason could be how you’re turning.

For example when you pivot in place (Zen/Go Giri Turn I call it.) are you simply planting your feet and grinding them into the Tatami as you turn?

If so, that can cause chronic joint pain in lower back pain - not to mention leaving you feeling unstable and ungrounded.

In today’s video I’m going to show you how are you can turn in such a way as to stay stable and grounded and not create habits that could contribute to chronic pain.

Enjoy!
